NRM urged to avoid violence ahead of 2026 elections
As political parties begin mobilizing support nationwide ahead of the 2026 general elections, mobilizers of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) have been urged to avoid acts of violence against individuals who do not support the party and to refrain from engaging in ballot stuffing. NRM Vice Chairman Moses Kigongo emphasized that harassing political opponents is not aligned with the core values of the NRM.
