NUP vows to challenge UPDF Act over civilian trials
On the Opposition side, NUP party leaders have vowed to challenge the newly enacted UPDF Amendment Act 2025 in court once it is gazetted. The Act grants military courts sweeping powers to try civilians under certain circumstances, a move that contradicts a Supreme Court ruling issued on January 31st.
