Police yet to enforce recent traffic penalties amendments
The Central Government is still drafting guidelines to be used by the Uganda Police Force in the enforcement of some amended traffic penalties. A case in point is the 2 million shillings penalty for driving above the speed limit. The Spokesperson for the Ministry of Works and Transport, Susan Kataike, says consultations on the said guidelines are ongoing and enforcement is expected to begin by the end of this month.
