South Sudan calls for action against LRA insurgency
The First Deputy Speaker of South Sudan, Nathaniel Oyet, has called on the Forum of Parliaments of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region to find a lasting solution to the Lord’s Resistance Army insurgency, which has left thousands maimed, killed, and displaced in Uganda and South Sudan. Nathaniel Oyet made these remarks during the opening of the 13th Statutory Meeting of the Forum's Committee on Peace and Security.
