Uganda committed to Malaria elimination despite challenges
Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng insists Uganda is still on track to eliminate malaria, despite the multiple challenges the country faces. These include its geographical location within the tropics and the Anopheles mosquito's adaptation to environmental changes. In a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaria Consortium, Dr. Aceng said they now have the backing of the government, especially in long-term funding planning for malaria elimination.
