Jukskei: South African sport finds its place in Uganda
At least one more sport has been added to the long list of sports disciplines that are being practised in Uganda. Played for over 280 years in South Africa, Jukskei has since spread to the rest of the world including Uganda. Now in Uganda, the sports touched down in the Buyende district this week where a training session for coaches is being carried out at Flowerland schools by a group of South African tacticians. The Sport that is believed to have originated in 1743 in the Cape of Good Hope by transport riders is said to be among the world’s most difficult sports after Golf and Pole Vault.
