Some teachers are stranded and disheartened after failing to receive the 300,000 shillings transport refund that was promised to them by organisers during a recent patriotism training pass-out ceremony at Ntare School in Mbarara. The teachers were part of a larger group of over 1,100 educators who underwent a two-week patriotism training programme, culminating in a high-profile pass-out event on Saturday. During the ceremony, President Museveni commended the participants and awarded them certificates of participation, along with a pledge to facilitate their return home with a transport refund of 300,000 shillings each. However, many of the teachers say they left empty-handed.
