Uganda Prisons has commissioned a refurbished laboratory that will improve diagnostics for inmates and staff, considering the high prevalence and risk of contracting highly contagious infections like Tuberculosis and HIV. The equipment and renovation, worth 1.6 billion, is a donation from the United States under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Learn more in this report.
