Uganda’s digital divide persists despite wide internet coverage

Uganda may have bridged the digital coverage gap, but millions remain offline — not for lack of signal, but because of economic and social barriers that keep them disconnected. Despite widespread broadband access, more than two-thirds of the population is still not online, exposing a new divide driven by affordability and limited digital literacy. Betty Ndagire reports.
