Water scarcity in Northern Uganda continues to affect both the health and economy of local communities, with an estimated 24 million Ugandans lacking access to clean water. To tackle this challenge, nine new boreholes have been commissioned in two districts, focusing on areas where Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) sources raw materials for its beverages. Pamela Bayenda, UBL’s Sustainability Manager, joins us to discuss how the project came to life and its impact on the region.
