Twelve officials from the Civil Aviation Authority, Makerere Business School, and Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital have been charged with causing financial loss, corruption, abuse of office, and other offences. The officials were arrested yesterday and detained following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Directorate into the alleged mismanagement of 53 billion shillings, which was paid to ghost beneficiaries. Prof. Waswa Balunywa, the former Makerere University Business School principal, is among those charged.
