Uganda, Japan launch third round of UJ-Connect to accelerate local startups

The Government of Uganda, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), has launched the third round of the Uganda–Japan (UJ-Connect) acceleration programme. The initiative is aimed at propelling Ugandan startups into international markets.

UJ-Connect supports entrepreneurs through their most challenging growth phases by helping refine their products, scale operations, and attract investment. The program is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Uganda’s innovation ecosystem and position local startups for global competitiveness.
