The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has recognized the contribution of former FIFA development officer and instructor Ashford Mamelodi to football development in Uganda. The Botswana national and former secretary of the Botswana Football Association was instrumental in implementing the FIFA Goal Project in Uganda, which resulted in the construction of FUFA House in Mengo and the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, Buikwe District. At a special function in Francistown, Botswana, Magogo presented Mamelodi with a trophy, a medal, and three dollars in cash moments before Thursday’s FIFA World Cup qualifier between Botswana and Uganda.
