At least five homes have been destroyed by a landslide in Kinyofu Village, Masira Subcounty, Bulambuli District.
The landslide, which occurred on Thursday evening, also damaged crops such as maize, coffee, and matooke. More than 50 homes remain at risk, prompting urgent calls from residents for government relocation support.
Locals are appealing to be moved to the Bunambutye resettlement camp, saying they are living in fear as the rainy season intensifies.
Ambrose Nabende, the LCIII Chairperson of Masira Subcounty, confirmed the incident and urged the government to intervene before more damage is done.
