President Museveni has described the late Rhoda Kalema as a champion for women’s empowerment, in a message delivered by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East Africa, Rebecca Kadaga. Kalema, a former Minister for Public Service in the NRM government, died on August 3, 2025, at the age of 96. She was buried today in Lufula Cell, Kiboga Town Council.
