Africa is stepping up its defense against deadly Ebola and Marburg outbreaks. In Entebbe, scientists from seven African countries have concluded a high-level training on filovirus diagnostics and immune analysis, led by the World Health Organization and the Uganda Virus Research Institute — a move aimed at strengthening the continent’s laboratory readiness against future epidemics.
