Officials, family pay tribute to Late Mary Karooro Okurut

Family, friends, and government dignitaries gathered this morning at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, to pray for the late Mary Busingye Karooro Okurut, who passed away on Monday. The former minister, who served in various ministerial capacities and as the Woman Member of Parliament for Bushenyi District, succumbed to lung-related complications at Nairobi Hospital in Kenya. She has been praised for her patriotism and generosity toward many people. The government has granted an official burial, which will take place tomorrow in Katungu, Bushenyi District.
