Analysts warn that if the two rivals fail to settle their differences, it could have wider consequences for the party, with opinions divided on whether the decision should be left to a democratic vote or if Kadaga should automatically retain the position. This comes as political tensions rise in the NRM, with Speaker Anita Among and Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga locking horns over the party’s Second National Vice Chairperson (Female) seat.
