Among says desire to join CEC in line with NRM interests

The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has said that her desire to join the NRM’s Central Executive Committee is to enable her to more easily pass laws that align with the interests of the party. Among is competing with Rebecca Kadaga—the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs—for the position of NRM’s Second National Vice Chairperson (Female), a role currently held by Kadaga.
