The National Resistance Movement has launched a campaign to persuade candidates who lost in the party primaries not to run as independents, but to rally behind the victors or those holding the party flag. They argue that when party members run as independents, it allows their opponents to defeat them. This message was conveyed during a meeting organized by Haruna Kasolo, the Vice Chairperson of NRM in Central Uganda, here in Kampala.
