Members of civil society have warned that the presidential campaigns, which have largely been peaceful, could turn chaotic if authorities delay in addressing the unruly behavior of some supporters from different political parties. This warning comes after chaos erupted between supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and individuals believed to be supporters of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) during Robert Kyagulanyi’s campaign in Kiruhura and Kazo districts on Wednesday.
Pundits caution that this scenario could ignite hatred and chaos among supporters of different political parties in the future.
