Uganda swimming team arrives in Riyadh ahead of Islamic Solidarity Games

The Uganda Swimming Team has safely arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the Islamic Solidarity Games set to begin this weekend. Upon arrival, the team held a light gym session in the morning before hitting the water in the afternoon to fine-tune their preparations.

Head coach Tonny Kasujja expressed optimism about the team’s readiness and the opportunity to compete among top athletes from across the Islamic world. In total, Uganda is represented by 39 athletes across several disciplines: Boxing, Aquatics, Athletics, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Para-Powerlifting, and Table Tennis.
