Electoral Commission to rule on seven presidential nomination petitions

The Electoral Commission is set to hear and rule on seven petitions filed by individuals who sought to stand for the presidency but were unable to be nominated. Justice Simon Byabakama, the Electoral Commission chairperson, says the complainants claim they were denied the opportunity to be nominated despite meeting all the requirements. It is unclear when rulings on these petitions will be made.
