Smallholder farmers in urban districts are calling on the Ministry of Agriculture to deploy urban extension workers to help improve their farming methods. According to the farmers, urban agriculture can play a significant role in enhancing food security by contributing a portion of the food consumed by the local population.

Recently, these farmers participated in a training on modern farming techniques conducted by experts from the Seeds of Gold program, organized by the Nation Media Group in Mukono.
