Members and well-wishers of Persons with Disabilities in Business Uganda, a non-governmental organization advocating for the protection of the rights of the disadvantaged, held their first annual disability run in Kampala today. Peninah Nankandi, the group’s director, stated that they are seeking an initial sum of 150 million shillings to begin construction of a resource center in Namagoma, Wakiso District, which will provide accommodation for people with disabilities who have struggled to find employment. Officials from the Uganda Revenue Authority kicked off this inclusive marathon at Kitebi Primary School in Kampala.
