Online money lenders under scrutiny for data protection breaches
Government warns that it is watching and will crack down on unregulated online money lenders, who are abusing the law by accessing borrowers' credit reports. This view came up on the sidelines of the release of a data protection survey, done by Ernst and Young. According to officials, the survey is aimed at testing the level of compliance of firms and businesses.
