RICE IMPORTATION WARS: Parliament gets involved
A government appointed regulator for rice being imported into the country, particularly from Tanzania, is at loggerheads with licenced importers over accusations of extortion and high handedness. The Kampala based Rice importers petitioned parliament, which went on a fact finding mission to Mutukula border before helping to iron out the impasse.
