Government steps up efforts to cater for refugees’ education
The central government, through the Ministry of Education, has initiated a program to enhance the education status of various refugee settlements in the country. The operation began in Kyangwali refugee settlement in Kikuube district and Kyaka II refugee settlement in Kyegegwa District. However, it has been revealed that the withdrawal of donor funding has deteriorated the educational status in these camps.
