Byabakama warns against violence ahead of youth elections
The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Justice Simon Byabakama, has issued a warning against violence leading up to the youth committee elections set for tomorrow, June 19th. Byabakama dismissed allegations that security agencies are biased, which he believes is prompting political parties and individuals to create vigilante groups. He mentioned that the EC plans to meet with security agencies, beginning with the police, to discuss their role in the election process.
