EU COFFEE MARKET: Uganda to register over 2.5 million farmers by August
Uganda has so far registered and mapped at least 1.2 million coffee farmers out of its estimated 2.5 million ahead of the December deadline.
According to Gerald Kyalo, the Commissioner for Coffee Development, the only factor that could delay compliance with the European Union’s Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products is data management and traceability, where the ministry is working closely with the EUDR task force.
