Government acknowledges need to study ways to combat hunger
Through Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, the government is assured that the country has enough food and is doing everything possible to ensure everyone accesses it. This assurance comes from the final National Population and Housing Census report released by the Uganda Bureau of statistics indicating that 4 in 10 households in the country are moderately or severely food insecure.
