Government commits to restoring Uganda's wetlands after Limoto success
The government, through the Ministry of Water and Environment, has expressed its commitment to restoring degraded wetlands across the country. This commitment follows the successful restoration of Limoto Wetland in Eastern Uganda, with lessons learned to be applied elsewhere in an effort to enhance the resilience of communities and ensure the sustainable management of wetlands. However, the ministry is calling for a concerted effort from all stakeholders to achieve this goal.
