Government developing guidelines for schools reopening
The Ministry of education and sports has formally started developing guidelines for the safe reopening of learning institutions come 2022. The minister of Education and Sports Janet Kataha Museveni has revealed that her ministry is working with the health ministry to draw guidelines to be followed by all sector players, to ensure learners are safeguarded as they resume learning. Minister Museveni made the remarks while officially opening the selection process for 131,989 S.1 students, and S.5 learners, all expected to join the secondary school for the 2022 academic year. As Joyce Nakato reports, Some of the schools taking part during the selection process have maintained their 2019 cut off points.
