Government to conduct primary school headcount to align funding with student numbers
The government is set to conduct a headcount of primary pupils to determine the actual number of learners in schools, ensuring that the funds allocated for their education align with the number of students enrolled. The exercise, led by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, will begin soon to support the budget proposals. The announcement was made as Education Ministry officials met with Parliament's Education Committee.
