Government to launch school feeding program in 2026
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics recently reported that food shortages in schools contribute to school dropouts. The Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni has revealed that the government, through its school feeding policy, plans to feed learners in primary schools starting in 2026. She made these remarks while releasing the NRM Manifesto Progress Report for her ministry. This marks the fourth year of the NRM Manifesto 2021-2026 for the Education and Sports sub-program.
