IGG In Karamoja region to mobilise civil servants
The Inspectorate of Government has intensified efforts to ensure that public officers declare their assets and liabilities by the end of this month, as stipulated by the law. As the deadline for asset declarations is set for the end of this month, the IGG's office has noted with concern that the current compliance rate is far below the expected threshold, particularly in remote regions like Karamoja, where access to the internet is a challenge and only about 25% of public officers have submitted their declarations.
