IGG Kamya flags defects at Isimba Hydropower plant
The Inspector General of Government, Beti Kamya, has raised concerns about the quality of work at the Isimba Hydroelectric Power Plant, citing structural defects in the dam's spillway and substandard materials supplied by the contractors. Kamya is particularly concerned that the contractor, China International Water and Electric Corporation, has not been able to resolve the severe structural defects in the dam’s spillway, a critical part of the facility.
