Kabale hospital concerned at shortage of experts
Kabale Hospital is currently grappling with a severe shortage of neurosurgeons, significantly impacting its ability to manage emergency cases, particularly those involving victims of road accidents. Dr. John Philbert Nyeko, the Director of Kabale Regional Referral Hospital, explains that numerous patients requiring urgent medical attention have tragically succumbed within the medical facility due to the absence of a neurosurgeon. Despite the national shortage of neurosurgeons, the situation at Kabale Hospital is particularly dire. This facility serves Kabale, Rubanda, Rukiga, Rukungiri, Kisoro, and Kanungu districts.
