Karuma Bridge closed for emergency repairs
The Ministry of Works and Transport yesterday closed Karuma Bridge for three weeks to enable their engineers to carry out emergency repairs. This forced travellers in the region to look for alternative routes to make it to their various destinations. The Ministry of Works and Transport announced the closure, citing the need to install expansion joints on the bridge.
