KCCA casual workers to be paid next week
The Secretary to the Treasury, Ramathan Ggobi, has disclosed to NTV that the Kampala Capital City Authority casual workers who have been striking over non-payment will be paid next week. Ggobi says he signed off on 13 billion shillings meant to clear the casual workers' dues today. Ggobi's action follows a demonstration by casual workers yesterday at the KCCA head office in Kampala over non-payment after six months of work.
