Legislators appraised on state of food production in the country
The Parliamentary Forum on Food and Nutrition is calling on the government to set up policies emphasizing the prevention of food insecurities in the country. They noted the setup of National Food Stores in different parts of the country to solve the food insecurity problem, as well as rthe eduction of malnutrition cases among the population.
This concern was raised during a visit to some districts of Karamoja during the Food and Nutrition Week. As our reporter found, the legislators cited the potential for Karamoja to produce.
