New report highlights rising violence, teenage pregnancies among refugee girls
The new State of the World’s Girls Report has revealed that refugee girls continue to face violence in camps across Uganda. The report is the result of research commissioned by Plan International Uganda. According to the findings, girls also face challenges such as teenage pregnancies in refugee camps and host areas, highlighting the need for further action to improve their lives. The report was launched by the Minister of Gender, Labour, and Social Development, Betty Amongi.
