Parliament holds special sitting to pay tribute to the late Kawempe North MP Ssegirinya
Parliament has held a special sitting to pay tribute to Muhammed Ssegirinya, the former Kawempe North MP who died yesterday. The Speaker of Parliament, Annet Among, described Ssegirinya as a selfless and fearless lawmaker who truly loved Uganda and his constituents. Some, however, questioned the justice system that failed to listen to his plea to seek medical attention when he was on remand for over one year.
