Speaker highlights peace as key to Uganda-DRC trade growth
The Speaker of Parliament has underscored the importance of peace and security in the DRC for the flourishing of trade between Uganda and Congo. While meeting a delegation of Members of Parliament from the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Speaker Anita Among emphasized that regional security is critical to enabling integration and trade growth between the two countries. In turn, the head of the DRC delegation, Lambert Mende, said Parliament should be the focal point for bolstering cooperation between the two countries.
