Uganda acts to minimize impact of oil drilling in Murchison falls park
The Petroleum Authority of Uganda has implemented strict measures to minimize the impact of ongoing oil drilling activities at Murchison Falls National Park. Some of the activities currently underway in the park include the drilling of 10 well pads and the laying of the Feeder Pipeline by Total Energies under the Tilenga Oil Project based in Buliisa District. This information was disclosed by various drilling experts led by Joseph Kobusheshse, the Director of Environment and Safety at the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, during a supervisory visit to the Tilenga Project works.
