West Nile leaders look to support learning outcomes
The stakeholders in West Nile have expressed concerns over the low school completion rate in the region and the lack of functional literacy among young people. This has led to the introduction of the West Nile Education Trust Fund, a program that will support poor but brilliant students in the region to do lucrative courses in public universities. As one of the strategies to raise funds for this initiative and also identify talents amongst young people, the region is planning a marathon race to run from December 28th to raise 1 billion shillings as a start.
