Ugandan-made products still face global hurdles

The Science and Technology Initiative is spotlighting products made in Uganda that have the potential to scale to international markets. So far, over 2,000 products have been identified, ranging from food and beauty items to household essentials. However, many Ugandan-made products still face hurdles in meeting international standards—particularly in quality control, packaging, and certification. These challenges continue to limit their global reach.
