CARE International in Uganda has launched its emergency food assistance and self-reliance skills project for new arrivals in the refugee settlements of Nakivale and Kiryadongo. The initiative aims to ensure that refugees can meet their food needs and build resilience for long-term self-sufficiency. Mr. Godfrey Omony, the Senior Initiative Manager at CARE Uganda, stated that the one-million-dollar project targets 2,000 households, focusing on new arrivals who will be supported through self-reliance activities both on and off the farm, enabling refugees to meet their food needs.
