Nine most familiar languages to be adopted in eastern Uganda

An assessment report by the National Curriculum Development Center has recommended 9 most familiar languages out of the 22 languages in the country to be adopted as the medium of instruction for the lower primary schools in Eastern Uganda. The languages include Ateso, Dhopadhola, Lusamia, Lunyole, Lugisu, Kupsabiny, Kumam, Kiswahili and English.
