The race for the Bukedea District Woman MP seat is heating up, with three probable aspirants summoned by the court after a suit filed by Zipporah Akol, who contends that they do not originate from the voting area and have since been deleted from the voters’ register. However, the trio—Mercy Alupo, Hellen Odeke, and Suzan Otai—have told NTV that they are ready to challenge the allegations amid threats. The Bukedea District Woman MP seat has been held by Speaker of Parliament Anita Among since 2016, when she was elected to the post as an independent candidate.
